NEW HAVEN-The Vermont State Police in New Haven, with the assistance of Middlebury Police Department and Vermont Fish and Game, arrested Lorinda Wall, 25, of Middlebury. Wall's arrest was made in connection with several house burglaries inWeybridge.
The recent burglaries occurred at homes on Twitchell Hill and Field Days roads and Meetinghouse Lane in Weybridge. Investigators said Wall's arrest was linked to at least four of the residential burglaries in the area.
Middlebury Police Officer Kristine Bowdish, while off duty, noted suspicious activity in the area of Field Days Road.
Bowdish observed a nearby vehicle that stopped at a residence on Meetinghouse Lane. She notified Vermont State Police troopers in New Haven.
A short time later, troopers from the New Haven Barracks and a Vermont Fish and Game officer arrived at the Meetinghouse Lane residence.
Officers found Wall inside the house, and she was placed under arrest.
After search warrant was issued, police searched Wall's vehicle; they allege that property from the burglarized Weybridge residences was found in the vehicle.
Wall's bail was set at $25,000. She is currently lodged in the Chittenden County Correctional Center.
