SARANAC LAKE Five days of summer activities kick off this Saturday in Saranac Lake as residents celebrate summer in the Adirondacks.
The Second Annual Great Adirondack Days, which take place rain or shine, will be held June 30-July 4.
Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Member Services Director Adrienne Kielmeier said the event was intended to bring the community together, while providing great activities.
Its a great sense of community, because Saranac Lake is a very special place to be, said Kielmeier.
The event kicks off on Saturday, June 20 at the Berkeley Green and Pontiac Parking Lot. From 10 a.m.-6 p.m., merchants will hold a sidewalk sale.

The race had one-man and two-man contests. The one man race features a quarter mile carry, while the two-man races challenges participants dexterity by requiring a position change while in the water.
