Misty Valley Books will host author Bill McKibben at the First Universalist Church in Chester's Stone Village on Saturday, May 1 at 2 pm.
McKibben, a scholar in residence at Middlebury College, will present his latest book (of eleven): Eaarth, Making a Life on a Tough New Planet. McKibben was among the first to write seriously about the consequences of global warming with The End of Nature in 1989.
A former staff writer for The New Yorker, he writes regularly for Harper's, The Atlantic Monthly and The New York Review of Books.
Ron Koss, author with his twin brother Arnie of The Earth's Best Story, will be at Misty Valley Books in Chester on Sunday, May 2, at 4 p.m., to talk about their creation of the first organic baby food to take on the major brands. This event is at the bookstore on the Chester Green.
A question-and-answer session, a reception and book signing will follow each session. The events are free.
