Trailing by 15 points in the first half, the Vikings started chipping away at th Ti lead late in the second quarter. An 18-9 run to start the second half put them in front to stay. Nick Slattery scored 16 points to pace Moriah. Don Tesar added 11 and Tyler Blaise 10 for the winners. Jake Taylor led Ti with 12 points. The victory was the first for Moriah against Ticonderoga in seven years. Westport grabbed an early lead and was on control the entire game. Ethan Tyrrell had 16 points for Schroon. Ticonderoga 52, Peru 49 Jesse Clark came off the bench to spark Ticonderoga to a 52-49 win against Peru in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys basketball action Dec. 18. Clark scored all 15 of his points in the second half as Ti came back from a 30-18 deficit for the win. Hunter Denno also scored 15 points for the Sentinels, while Matt Streeter added 12. Plattsburgh 78, Moriah 36 Plattsburgh downed Moriah, 78-36, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys basketball action Dec. 18. The Hornets jumped to a 16-4 lead and never looked back. Jim Carlson had 12 points for Moriah.
