The Bellows Falls Rotary Club is gearing up for its Annual Penny Sale to be held on Saturday, April 24 at the Bellows Falls Union High School auditorium in Westminster. Doors will open at 5:30 for the 6 p.m. start of the first of three action packed series. Admission is free.
Refreshments will be provided by the Bellows Falls Union High School freshman class. Come early and have a hamburger or hot dog and help support the freshman class of 2013.
The Penny Sale is the Rotary Club's major fundraiser with proceeds used to support community projects and programs such as Our Place Drop In Center, Parks Place as well as college scholarships for graduating students and the Rotary International Youth Exchange program.
Over 300 prizes have been generously donated by area businesses to ensure a fun time for all, and children will receive a free prize. You will find a wide range of prizes from stuffed animals, toys, tools, gift certificates for local services and restaurants, a bicycle and a kayak. And as always the sale ends with the drawing of the cash raffle with a chance to win $50, $150, $250 or $500. You do not need to be present to win the cash, but if you are present you will win an additional $25 with a winning ticket. See a Rotarian to purchase your cash raffle tickets. Rotarians will also be selling cash raffle tickets at Shaw's in Walpole and T-Bird in Bellows Falls the weekends prior to the sale.
If you have never attended the Penny Sale, please come and join in the fun and take a chance on winning some of the great prizes and cash.
