So much going on in our area. It was good to see so many at and near the train station. Also, the streets of North Creek were packed on both sides. Business is good. Great to see so many shops open.

Jacqueline Tyner is home from the Boston Hospital. She thinks she is getting a little stronger each day.
Cindy Nevins is feeling better after having a bout with kidney stones.
Faye Newkirk is home from the hospital after spending a couple of days with vertigo.
Pam Mulligan is feeling good after her surgery at Albany Med. Hospital in Albany.
Shirley Cleveland is gaining after her surgery at Glens Falls Hospital.
Suzy Virgil was able to attend church Sunday after her shoulder surgery a couple of weeks ago.
Kathy Allen has been laid up for a couple of weeks with a very bad back. Still painful at times.
Pat Porter was taken to the hospital in the wee hours of Sunday morning. He was admitted after two falls.
Joe Morris was driving his tractor when a tree fell from behind on his head on Sept. 9. He spent several days in the hospital.
Derek Millington and son, Aidan, were in an accident on Sept. 7 and totaled the car but they both are OK.
Bill Conlon has been going for testing for some very bad pain in his back.
Kim Houser ran Sunday in the Palio Half Marathon in Saratoga. Good job.
Community Compassions meeting was held last Monday. They are planning on their yearly Flea Market/Food Sale on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sodom Community Church. Items can be dropped off anytime at the church. Baked goods can be dropped off the day before or the morning of. The money raised will go for helping those in need around the holidays.
John “Beaner” and Sherri Cleveland have moved to the apartment above Rollie and Shirley Cleveland. It will be so helpful to Rollie and Shirley.
I want to thank Fabiann Conlon for getting my car on a flatbed from Derek Millington’s driveway last Sunday. The Radiator broke. Randy Viele fixed my car. Thanks to Bob and Doris DeGroat for letting me use their car overnight.
I enjoyed sitting around a campfire and having coffee with Bob and Doris and going to Basil and Wick’s with them for the great spaghetti dinner. It was nice seeing so many there that I know. So many of the community enjoy the specials.
Fabiann Conlon and his grandfather, Earl Allen, had a great time attending the engine show at Tom Davis’s in Warrensburg. So much to see and so many there.
Nate and Jan Russell enjoyed going to a car show in Vermont over the weekend.
Ben and Mavis Miller were pleased to have his son drive from Oklahoma to here to visit for a few days. They were happy to get the phone call to say he was back home.
Terrible thing about the fire on the boardwalk in New Jersey. Fred Allen called to say it was close enough so he could smell the smoke. Also, tragic about the flooding in Boulder, Colo. Many lives lost.
There was a fundraiser at J&J’s on Saturday to raise money for the expense that Laura Nevins is facing with her chemo treatments.
Lydia Knickerbocker was home for the weekend from college. It was great to see her.
Sunday was a day for eating out after church. Ron and Kathy Allen and Emma Parsons, Ben and Mavis Miller, Keisha Sprague, Dezore, Khaleah and Yanden Cleveland, Earl Allen and me went to Marsha’s to enjoy lunch.
Jason and Penny Persons, Caleb and Emily traveled to Virginia after hearing that Lee Armstrong had had two massive heart attacks and was in the hospital.
We, as a community, are so sorry to hear about the death of Rollin Swinton, Janet Lewis and Lee Armstrong. All three will be deeply missed.
Roger and Carol Lewis and their family traveled to Newton Falls, Ohio to be close to family in this sad time.
Many traveled to attend the funeral of Rollin Swinton on Sept. 14.
