To the Adirondack Journal:
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” That’s wise advice.
The Town of Horicon is going to be debt-free after the next and final payment for the town garage — an unbelievable statement in this era of reckless spending.
Our town is debt free, meanwhile a quiet group of men and women have been working very hard on our behalf to see that public works have been completed, including the Horicon Museum, the fountain in the Mill Pond, a handicapped-access fishing pier, and maintenance of playground facilities and town beaches. This list of vital improvements for Horicon citizens is lengthy — yet we’re virtually debt-free!
This same selfless group have plans for the future, which include strengthening our town’s infrastructure — our roads and bridges.
Citizens, our government ain’t broke, so don’t fix it! Keep this group of hardworking, morally responsible, forward-looking, quiet warriors in office. Vote on Nov. 8 for Ralph Bentley and his team. Take care to read the ballot carefully, because Bentley, a registered Republican, is on the Independence line, Row E.
God bless our town.
