To the News Enterprise:
On behalf of the Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce, we thank the community and visitors for their support and participation in our successful second annual Great Adirondack Moose Festival. Also, special thanks to our generous major sponsors: Adirondack Museum, gra*Fix, Hamilton County Planning, Tourism & Community Development, Hutchins Construction, Inc., Indian Lake Restaurant, Tavern and Liquor Store, Marty’s Chili Nights Restaurant, NCPR, Town of Indian Lake and WBRV. We achieved this year’s level of success because of your support.
This year a new and exciting Festival highlight was our first Moose Calling Contest. The contest, another first of its kind to be held in New York state, was a huge success. Thank you to the 140 people who attended the event and witnessed fun and sometimes bizarre and authentic hooting and hollering moose calls from adult and children contestants.
Thank you, George Virgil and your team for serving over 100 sausage and pancake breakfasts during your “Logging in the Adirondacks” activities. Thank you, Vicki Virgil and Jennifer Zahray, who were hosts to 50 plus children who came ready to walk, pop, sink, hop and find a moose during the Festival Moosterpiece games and activities.
We especially want to recognize and thank all of the festival activity facilitators, businesses, volunteers, visitors, Hamilton County Express, North Creek News Enterprise, Indian Lake and Blue Mountain Lake Fish and Game Association, NY DEC, Adirondack Museum, Indian Lake Museum, Indian Lake Central School District, Blue Mountain Fire Department, Adirondack Mountain Club, Indian Lake Theater, Prospect Point House, ALCA, North Country Crafters, American Legion, and Town of Indian Lake Parks and Recreation Department for helping make our 2nd Annual Great Adirondack Moose Festival profitable, entertaining and educational.
Once again, we thank our visitors, sponsors, volunteers and the community for your participation in our 2nd Annual Great Adirondack Moose Festival. Your support and participation helped to make our vision another successful reality.
