The Chesterfield Fish and Game Club will be having a gun show on Aug.31 through Sept.1 at the club house on Green Street in Clintonville. Every time the Club has a gun show it is a big event with much to offer, so be sure to visit it.
I received more news from the North Country Honor Flight which is gearing up for their September 14th Honor Flight. Thanks to Joe DeMarco, the Masons of Tahawus Lodge # 790 made a very generous donation and thanks to Harry Treadway the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association also made a donation. This combined donation was used to purchase 10 brand new transport wheelchairs which were a very high priority. The Flight has been getting a lot of donations and sponsors for fall jackets for the September and October flights, very nice black nylon lined jackets with Honor Flight logo embroidered by Loremans. Donations have come from Fuller Excavating of Keeseville, Al and Alicia Armstrong of the Mountain Brook Lodge in Wilmington, and Elise Beaulieu of the Saranac Freedom Club. The Honor Flight are now six jackets away from the 82 needed.

Remember that the captions are just as important as the photo. Captions should be 100 words or less. Visit their website at www.champlainareatrails.com for more information under the contest section.
Don’t forget the multimedia art show which is running now through Sept. 12 at the Keeseville Free Library. As always I was very impressed with all the great artwork – photographs, woodwork, pottery, and other media. A wonderful show highlighting the great talent we have in our community.
Still an amazing number of birds around which pleases my cat no end. Blue Jays are definitely the favored for her afternoon entertainment. If you’ve never had a bird feeder I highly recommend getting one at Adirondack Hardware then sit back and enjoy the show.
