A row of classic cars cruised down Rt. 9 Saturday during the Etown Day parade.
The annual celebration of all things Elizabethtown is set for Saturday, July 20.
The annual Etown Day, put on annually by the Elizabethtown Volunteer Fire Department, will feature several familiar attractions, highlighted by the annual parade at 3 p.m. and a fireworks display that evening.
There will also be games and entertainment throughout the day at the Cobble Hill Golf Course, which will be the base for a 50-50 raffle, face painting, food and more.
Throughout the town, there will also be a day-long townwide garage sale.
“The townwide sale starts and 9 a.m. and goes through the day,” Harvey Putnam of the Elizabethtown Volunteer Fire Department said. “People can contact the town hall to be put on a garage sale map.”
For the parade, Putnam said that anyone who is wishing to participate with a float, antique car, group or more can contact the fire department or himself at 873-2291.
Putnam also said that the department is looking for help to pay for the evening’s finale.
“Contributions for the annual fireworks display would be greatly appreciated,” he said. “Just contact myself or any fire department member if you want to help contribute.”
