The Richard Harmon Memorial Scholarship Fund Third Annual Golf Tournament is to be held on September 17 at Harmony Golf Club in Port Kent. This is the fundraising event to raise money for the Richard Harmon Memorial Scholarship.
During 2009, the Richard Harmon Memorial Scholarship was established to help an Ausable Valley Central School student offset the financial challenges of college tuition at Clinton Community College. This scholarship covers the cost of full-tuition and books for the recipient each semester for a maximum of four semesters as long as she or he maintains a 2.5 GPA.
The format is a four player scramble through the 14-hole course. There will be a putting contest, raffles and a 50/50 raffle. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive, for women and men, and closest to the pin – for women and men. Various other prizes are to be determined.
Entry fee is $45 for members and $65 for non-members. Greens fees, cart and meal between flights included in entry fee. First flight shotgun starts at 8 a.m. Second flight shotgun starts at 1 p.m. The first 36 teams to pay play.
