The Beekmantown Eagles football team won the opening toss and chose to receive against the Peru Indians Sept. 24.
That was where things stopped going right.
On the second offensive play, Eagles quarterback Carter Frechette was stripped of the ball by Peru’s Zane Bazzano, and Alex Cederstrom scored three plays later as the Indians were on their way to a 34-13 win.
