The Schalmont girls volleyball team needed only three games to defeat Cobleskill-Richmondville in Tuesday's Colonial Council match.
The Sabres (7-1) took the first game 25-15 and won the next two games by identical 25-18 margins to defeat the Bulldogs (4-4).
Lindsay Burns had 14 service points and 20 assists for Schalmont. Christina McBride recorded 14 kills and nine service points, while Rachel Pineda added 15 service points, eight digs and three kills.
Aurore LaVine had 11 service points, and Amanda Rapant contributed five kills for Cobleskill-Richmondville.
In Albany, the Scotia-Glenville girls swim team defeated Albany 87-79 Tuesday.
Bri Lydon led the Tartans with victories in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard butterfly. Meghan Rowledge won the 200-yard freestyle, and Emma Brown took first place in the 100-yard backstroke.
In other girls swimming meets, Saratoga Springs defeated Mohonasen-Schalmont 97-81 in Rotterdam.
Mallory Gannon (200-yard freestyle), Allison Carswell (200-yard individual medley), Melissa Boyd (diving), Caroline Conboy (100-yard butterfly), Maddison Feeley (100-yard freestyle), Katie Barlok (500-yard freestyle) and Gabrielle Celia (100-yard breaststroke) won individual events for Saratoga.
Allison Hutchins (50-yard freestyle) and Rebecca Nelson (100-yard backstroke) earned victories for Mohonasen-Schalmont.
