On Dec. 17, at 4:23 a.m., troopers of the Vermont State Police, Rutland Barracks-Castleton Outpost, investigated a report of a tractor and trailer hauling grocery goods, had left the travel portion of Route 22A and jack-knifed in a ditch near Perch Pond Road in Benson.
