The promotion, set for Dec. 15, features storewide discounts and price cuts on selected merchandise as well as food and drink specials at local restaurants.
QUEENSBURY | A new local holiday shopping and dining promotion is to be held this Saturday in Chestertown.
The one-day event, called “Christmas on Main Street,” is to be held Saturday Dec. 15.
Restaurants will be offering food and drink specials, while stores and services will be offering various discounts and price cuts.
The special promotions are as follows:
• Main St. Ice Cream Parlor, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will be offering sale prices throughout the store and free gift wrapping.
• Rustic Charm, open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., will have sale prices on their handcrafted gift items, as well as festive refreshments and a drawing for a $25 gift certificate.
• Panther Mountain Trading, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be providing refreshments and tastings of spirits from Spring Brook Farm Distillery from noon to 2 p.m..
• Country Girl Crafts, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be offering 20 percent off all regularly priced merchandise.
• Once ‘n Again shop, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will be discounting all jewelry by 50 percent.
• Mountain Hardware, open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be discounting all Benjamin Moore and Milwaukee brand items by 10 percent as well as providing free gift wrapping.
• Stephenson’s Lumber, open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be holding a tool sale, with 10 percent off selected brands.
• Susan Brand Salon will be signing people for appointments and offering discounts along with coffee and tea.
• Groom’s Salon, open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be offering refreshments to those who drop by and see their new salon.
• Wendy’s Way Grooming will be discounting their services 10 percent for those who schedule, during the sale day, appointments in December.
• Brannigan’s Adirondack Moonshine will be hosting a wine tasting from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with 10 percent off bottles of the featured wines.
• Bomber’s Place, open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., will give 20 percent off their meal specials to those who show a receipt from one of the participating businesses.
• The Bull House is offering a free $25 gift certificate to those who purchase four others — they also invite you to enjoy their happy hour with friends.
• Buttino’s Italian Bistro, open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., invites people to stop in and enjoy their specials.
• The Odd Duck, open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., welcomes people to drop by and enjoy their specials.
• Panther Mountain House invites people to check out their menu specials and enjoy the atmosphere.
One of the promotion’s organizers, Kathi Davis said the hometown holiday promotion has been received enthusiastically by local business proprietors as well as the public — and she urges local residents and visitors to enjoy the day!
